PI won the prestigious “Global Sourcing – Outstanding Performance Award” at the Baybuy Annual Suppliers’ Awards 2017 organized by Bayer India at their Thane office in Mumbai held on 15th December, 2017. This was the only award under the global sourcing category where the other nominees were Hikal and Aarti Organics.
PI was adjudged winner in this category for their outstanding performance during 2017 for supply of several strategic products and their proactive planning, timely delivery of quality products against all odds and uncertainties of raw mater sourcing in China.
The award was received by Mr. Rajnish Sarna, Executive Director, PI Industries.
Another annoucement made at the award ceremony was that PI topped the TFS audit conducted by BCS for its leading suppliers by securing a score of 99 out of 100. TFS audit program basically assesses suppliers on various sustainability criteria e.g. management, environment, health & safety, labor & human rights, and governance issues.
Baybuy Awards is organised by Bayer India every year to recognise excellence and outstanding efforts made by their few hundred suppliers across procurement, logistics, quality and technology areas for all their business lines i.e. Pharma, Cropscience and consumer health. It is a coveted award given to people who have risen to excel and exceed the standards set by Bayer and have made a promise to be different not from the ordinary but from the extra-ordinary.
