PI Industries has bagged the prestigious‘Golden Peacock Award for Sustainability’ for the year 2021 in the Chemical sector! Adjudged winner from among 199 applicants through a rigorous 3-tier assessment process on parameters that exemplified commitment to excellence and high level of quality, the award is a testament to our strategic work and practices that are bringing about sustainable transformation. Other winners in this category included prestigious Indian multinationals such as SAP Labs, Tata Steel Mining Limited, Bangalore International Airport, Adani Green Energy Ltd.
Criteria
The assessment was done on the basis of ESG initiatives taken by the company. Applications were evaluated on an exhaustive set of self-assessment parameters, for a total score of 1000 marks. The final cut-off of 80 percent was applied universally. The applicant scoring the highest, among each of the respective Industrial Sectors, was finally recommended to the Jury for final selection.

A 9-member Awards Jury comprised of corporate governance and sustainability experts under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Justice M. N. Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India and former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission of India and National Commission for Constitution of India Reforms.
