PI Foundation received “Social Change Award” amongst other reputed corporates and non profit organisations at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 11th Dec 2017 . The Award was presented by Shri Upendra Kushwaha, Minister of State for Human Resource Development.
The Social Change Awards which has been commissioned and was organized for the first time by NEXTGEN SUSTAINABLE SOCIAL SOLUTIONS PVT LTD recognized the best of the efforts made by various Companies and NGOs in bringing about a sustainable change in the lives of thousands of people.
The jury for selection of awardees consisted of eminent academicians, social sector experts and reputed economists. The awards were presented in the categories of Healthcare, Education, Community Development, Skill Development, Livelihoods, Sports Promotion, Sanitation, Behaviour Change Communications etc. PI Foundation was awarded for its efforts in creating the best Livelihood opportunity for the under privileged communities.
Amongst the ones to be conferred Social Change Awards were PI Foundation, Mahanagar Gas Limited, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Odisha Power Generation Corporation, Biocon Foundation, SACH and CHD .
